William-Adolphe Bouguereau - "Nature's Fan" (1881)

This piece, from the Portland Art Museum, is absolutely stunning. The light, the tone... I'm completely in awe of this artist's technique. Probably my favorite single piece in the entire museum (and that's saying a lot!) If you get a chance to visit Portland, you really should see this painting in person.
